Let's chat

Hello, Friends! Let's chat. I hope your week went well! I am glad it is the weekend. Time for friends, family, and fun. Wait a minute, that's not my weekend, that's yours!! My weekend will be spent in sweet pants working on papers for school. That's not entirely true. I will spend time with my family at church Sunday morning and evening. But, I'm not complaining.... I am truly blessed and was honored yesterday with a scholarship. Yay! I do enjoy learning and going to school. My mother says I am making a career as a professional student. Perhaps, I'll go for my PhD or MBA?

One thing at a time, one thing at a time.
I constantly I have to tell myself that.

A few weeks ago I ventured out into the night for The Glo Run 5k! Earlier that day I had ran the TDA 5k, so my knees weren't thrilled with running again. My friend, Kristy and me, took our time and enjoyed the glo! It was fun, but I did expect more glo extravagance. I would pick the Color Run over this any day! 


I also wrote an article about the 5k in this issue of The Planet Weekly.

The Tuscaloosa Dietetic Association 5k!! Wasn't my best time, but I finished with a respectable time. 



I am really proud because I have been taking a break during the workday to walk. Normally, I eat while I work. I decided to stop that because by the end of the day my head was hurting and my mood was depressed from being inside and sitting most of the day. Lately, it has been beautiful outside. Perfect weather for walking. As you can see, I am able to get in 2 miles during my thirty minute lunch break. 

It helps relieve so much stress.
